Hillside House Guest House is a privately run bed and breakfast offering two double shower en-suite bedrooms and one twin bedroom with private bathroom with shower over bath. There is a guest lounge with access to a verandah, which leads directly to the garden. The dining room is accessed through retractable double doors from the guest lounge. Hillside House has a no smoking policy but smoking is allowed in the garden.
Free Wi-Fi access available. Free fax service to UK destinations. Access statement available on website www.hillside-guesthouse.com and in guest information in bedrooms. Collection from the railway station and bus station is available with prior arrangement. Local taxi numbers supplied on bedroom key fob and in guest information folders. Nearest town 15 mins walk downhill. A bus stop to most local destinations just a 2 minute walk at the bottom of Hillside Road. Access to house and bedrooms not suitable for the mobility impaired.
There is level off street parking for two cars on the purpose made area on the front lawn with extra parking within the pavia brick driveway. House entrance is 10 metres along 1 in 4 gradient driveway from car parking. The front porch is accessed via one 2” and 3 x 8'' concrete steps and one 6'' step at the front door leads to the reception hallway. There is automated lighting to the driveway and night time lighting to the entrance porch.
There is emergency lighting to the hallway, stairwell and landing leading to the guest bedrooms. There is level access from the entrance hallway to the guest lounge with level access to the guest dining room. Double French doors give access via an 8'' step to the verandah with 3 x 8'' steps leading to the garden. There is ample guest seating in the guest lounge.
The floor in the entrance hall is laid to carpet with polished wooden floors to the guest lounge and dining room. Guests have access to the ground floor and second floor for access to the guest bedrooms.
Guest toilets are in the guest bedrooms on the second floor access by a 15 tread staircase leading from the entrance hallway.
Bedrooms are accessed from the level second floor hallway, which is lit throughout the day with emergency lighting.
Both double bedrooms have en-suite facilities with access to the shower cubicle via a 7'' step. Rashleigh double has a double divan bed set within a French frame which is 30'' from floor level. Polkerris room has a super king size divan bed which is 26'' from floor level. Menabilly is a twin room with private bathroom facilities along the landing, which has a roll-top bath which is 23'' in height giving access to the shower over.
There are water and CO2 fire extinguishers on the second floor landing. Smoke alarms are fitted in the second floor landing and stairwell. There is an emergency panic button in the second floor landing outside the guest bedrooms.
There are no plans at present for alterations or building works to be undertaken during the guest letting season.
